I would like to be known as both a good student and a daughter. I also like to be known as someone who  encourage people  to follow their dreams. I know it can be possible because I had to work full time and go to school part time with my family living in another country. As a daughter I still maintain communication with my parents who live in another country and take care of their needs .

I won a scholarship to go to school and went  all the way thru college when I was an student .  In the beginning , it was not an easy task but I finally did it. I also like to recycle and take care of the environment . I always try to help people whenever I can do it.   I like to be know as a person who like to study and enjoy sharing things with families and friends.

I am a chica ponderosa because I try to be a good daughter and sister everyday.I try to help people whenever I can do it .I always emphasize  the importance of being united and being a family.  To me, one of  the most important thing is to be together as a family  and show respect to others. For me,it is important to take care of the environment and recycle. I always maintain a positive attitude even in the most difficult situations. I advise people to go to school and prepare for the future . In general,I try to get involved in daily activities that can contribute  society in a positive way.

The term feminism means equal opportunities should be the same for both men and women. It means having the same social style and political views without being criticized. It  means to teach  men to respect their wives, daughters, sisters and friends. It means women can have a successful career, a family and goals when they  set their minds. Women have the right to be respected and get the same salary in the same job position, which sometimes it is not the case.

Even though the term feminism could have many meaning abroad, it is basically that men and women should be treated equally. Feminism means I can choose how to make my way in this world. It is having the freedom to make my own choices  and keep my own values. It is educating both men and  women about respect of each other. In conclusion, it is not a fight between men and women. Both should have the same opportunities when applying for  a job, requesting a loan or looking for education. It is important to educate society about sharing equal responsibilities in a relationship and raising children.

I wanna highlight/#WCW Dr. Theresa Martinez, the youngest of 12 children, in a single mother, Mexican-american family living in New Mexico, her story touches thousands over the last 30 years she's worked at the University of Utah. A bad-ass Chicana Professor in the Sociology department, I am so honored to have been a part of her classes, and her Teacher Aide. She has inspired me in various ways, from leading projects in the community to teaching us about racial injustice in the classroom. Chicana Power! <3

First  I want to say that I admire all Latinas who are single mothers, hard workers and successful in their field. One latina woman who has changed my life will be my marketing professor at the school because she not only help me with my projects  with  personal advise to advance in my career and life.

Well I try to give my best advice to everybody  which is to be a good daughter, sister and friend. I advise everyone to go to college which is very important for your future.I set the example myself when I went to college being and student and working full time. No one  should pay attention to people who criticize you , I always encourage people to follow their dreams. All of us can be successful in our lives by being organized and  setting your goals.
