For Hispanic Heritage Month, we are kicking off a blog-a-thon and social media campaign. Our goal is to promote cultural pride, to celebrate Latina power, to highlight powerful Latina leaders and to motive young Latinas. During the week of October 7th through October 13th, we are inviting guest bloggers to blog on a specific question daily.

Social Media Campaign:
Young Latinas are also invited to take the social media world by storm to celebrate our culture by targeting a specific social media outlet Monday through Friday of that week. Below is an outline of our social media campaign. Start brainstorming your ideas and invite your friends to participate too.
Social Media Activities:
Monday 10/8/2012 - Twitter - Tweet why you are proud to be a Latina using the hashtags #latinitas & #latinapower.
Tuesday 10/9/2012 - Pintrest - Post a picture of yourself on Pintrest holding a sign saying, "I'm proud to be a Latina because ..."
Wednesday 10/10/2012 - Instagram & Flickr - Post a photo representing the Latin/Hispanic culture (abstract or literal).
Thursday 10/11/2012 - Facebook - Update your facebook status on what being a Latina means to you or post a link to a blog you've worked on this past week.
Friday 10/12/2012 - Youtube - Post a video on YouTube sharing your Hispanic Heritage Month message. You can share why you are a proud Latina or present anything you've covered in a blog or social media forum this past month.
