MyLatinitas.com is looking for bloggers who would like to write about a specific theme at least once a month. Got something to say? Sound off by hosting a monthly blog series.

WHAT IS A BLOG SERIES?
We have regular blog contributors who host a series of blogs at least once per month on a set theme. Our bloggers are expected to write a blog related to topic of their choice on a monthly basis and remain active members of our community. We are encouraging our bloggers to select a "beat" and create a title for their blog. For example, one blogger is writing about her study abroad experience this semester in Mexico, one is writing about her college application experience, one will be writing a series of movie reviews and another is going to start a series called Latinos in Hollywood. Let us know if you'd be interested in hosting a blog series on our site. It can be on any topic that is relevant and age-appropriate for our community of young Latinas. Our blogs are brief and informal, but a great way to express yourself and encourage other young women.

To start off, post a comment if you'd like to start your own blog series on our site or email us your blog series proposal at mylatinitas@yahoo.com. Your blog should be girl-friendly and of interest to our community members of young Latinas. Read our community rules to make sure all content is appropriate. Answer the following questions to propose a new blog:
-Blog Series Title: What is the title of your blog series? This is something that describes your theme. (ex: Chicana Power) Be creative.
-Blog Series Description: What is your blog about? In 2-4 sentences, describe the theme and focus of your blog series.
-Blog Series Author Bio:Tell us a little about yourself in 2-4 sentences. Ex: interests, experience, education, hobbies and background info.
-Blog Series Frequency: How often do you plan to post? Our recommendation is that you to post anywhere from once a week to once a month.

I commend Latinitas for this wonderful idea. I am a journalist who works in media relations for an education organization. But on a personal note, I write about the importance of education for Hispanics, staying at school, taking the right courses and getting ready for college, as well as the need for parent's involvement in their children's education. If you want someone to cover that area, please let me know.
