What I Loved About College

The school year is winding down and moving closer and closer to my graduation from college. I spent the last four years at the University of Texas at Austin, and I have so much to be thankful for. It is weird to think that as I leave, a new wave of freshman will move in to take my space. But I know many exciting adventures wait for me in my future. And I am excited for the new students as well, because I know what kind of opportunities and life-changing experiences await them. Here are some of…See More

If I Was President....

Just becoming the first woman president of the United States is a huge milestone in itself. It is a milestone for women but all of society as well. Where I Come From

I moved to Austin four years ago for college. I came from a small town so everything seemed busy and exciting. I visited the state capitol for the first time and all of the other tourist sites. Studying in Austin was a dream come true. It’s a dream that I’m still living every day. And while most days I wake up and love where I am, other days I get another feeling—homesickness.I used to feel homesick in the beginning, but in a different way. I wasn’t used to being away from my family for so…See More
