Mind you it has been about 8 years since I've lived in California and about 17 since I lived in El Centro. Recently a very close friend of mine was diagnosed with MDD (major depression disorder). It was a shock to me and to her family as well as other close friends she confided in. The reason for the post is for all who is reading to understand that depression is not only a serious illness, it can also be undetected. Let me give you a brief summary of my dear friend.
