Cris Brown sounds like if he really regrets what happened. He had to realize what he did was wrong after did this. It seems that what he said was really but who is sure that he wont do this again. If i was Rehana i would forgive him because why should you hold grudges but i wouldn't go back with him. Ones you've got hit by a man mot likely it will happen again. No matter if the go to court or put a restriction order. The bad thing is that after this Cris will be mark for life for hinting women.… Continue

Today is a chill day, as much as possible. When applying for college, it is important to try and not get swamped in all the work. Take a day or two to pause and think about what you're doing. Think about career choices. Do you really want to be a doctor, or are you pursuing it just because your peers want you to? Take a day just to think about yourself, your surroundings, and the impact you want to have. If you have trouble coming up with thoughts, grab a sheet of paper and a pen and just start… Continue

I think that Chris Brown was reading off something I don’t think he ment the
Apology I think it all a lie no matter what anyone says…. Yes I do like Chris Brown but he should have known better, me knowing that he lived with domestic violence in his home growing up but still he even said it “ I wont a girl” he said that on Tyra T.v show and not even a couple of months after he beats up Rihanna. Chris knows better in the video he shows no emotion at all, which gets me more upset. I… Continue

No one really knows the real story behin his actions.
The good thing is that he apoligizes and i am sure everyone is thinking he will do it again and that he is a better person. Hopefully his fans wont lose faith in him

These past few days have been scholarship days. Scholarships are both beautiful and repulsive. The beautiful part about them is that they are free money for college. The bad part is that you are competing with thousands of other people. But, the beautiful outweighs the bad, by a ton.
The place I have started is at Collegeboard.com. They have a scholarship search that can be tailored to your every need. The number of scholarships that come up are amazing! I got close to 100 for being a… Continue

I have to agree with Jackie that Chris Brown does not really sound too genuine. It seems obvious that he is just repeating a speech he rehearsed (that probably wasn't even written by him in the first place). He made too much of an effort to seem sorrowful. Perhaps because he seemed so out of character. If that was truly heartfelt, it would have sounded more like him.
This is not to say that he is not sorry. I'm sure that he is, but maybe for not the right reasons. His career is… Continue

This weekend has been stressful
. Truthfully, I have had to set aside all college matters to deal with finishing The Once and Future King
, a brutally long, beautifully written novel about King Arthur and everything surrounding him. I am doing this for my AP Literature and Composition class, which is a college level senior english class. I haven't even started school and I can already tell how challenging it will be!
This class leads me to my next piece of advice for college:… Continue

So far, this week seemed to go by a lot faster than the first. I almost did not want to go home for the weekend, but I still missed my mom so I had to see her. Family values was the lesson of the week and I learned so much about how society can make or change or break family values. The main idea I had to embrace was the idea that society, government, or the media is ourselves so we, as people, can't point the finger at other "reasons" when we are the ones who make society what it is, who… Continue

Someone needs acting classes..... We have to realize that Chris Brown is an entertainer with millions of dollars at stake. Obviously, he regrets getting caught because now the thousands of girl fans he had might give him the cold shoulder by not buying concert tickets and not buying his merchandise. I'm sure his publicist and managers spent a lot of time working on this speech. Unfortunately I don't think it was well thought through. The Oprah show, The View or Good Morning America would have… Continue

To me, color of your skin does not matter. Its what is on the inside that counts, such as personality and honesty. It is things like this that make you fall in love with a person, not the shade of their skin! People have to understand that it is not the old days anymore! There is no need for racism or discrimination, People have feelings and they shouldn't be hurt.

I'm the mum of the blue-eyed very white boyfriend...
and after I finished reading Marisa's post, I knew I had done at least one thing right in my life...I raised a boy who could find his soul mate.
Family is what matters in this life and you have to know your family's stories...I am very proud of my son and I am very grateful to my Lord that Marisa loves my baby.
That is all that matters to me. Their love. We will always tell our stories and know where we came from. Always. But I… Continue

I've been thinking about this hot topic all week, trying to figure out how to respond.
I have never been opposed to interracial and interethnic dating. In fact, I have several members of my family who have married outside of the culture. We have white, black, and even asian members of our family. Interethnic marriage, as far as I know, wasn't too big of a deal in my family--and I never thought of anyone as "white aunt" or "black cousin," just simply as my aunt or cousin. I love my… Continue
