We all know the feeling, but somehow it gets worse in senior year: That fateful day when people find out their class ranking. My senior class is pretty miniscule, so within half an hour we could guess at the entire list of rankings, and it shook our world up. I remember being in middle school and not knowing what to expect when I went to college.

I knew I wanted to go to college but I all could see was myself walking around a big campus, carrying 30 books with me and being late to class.

I want to ask y'all something...WHY do you go to school?! 

Is it to talk to friends, see boys. or to, I don't know, get an education?!

My answer is....to get an education! :D 

I know with all the other distractions in school and with friends, we tend to forget the main point of why we're in school, 180 days of the year, 8 hours a day.

The Texas Book Festival is a festival held at the capital every year. It is free to the public and it is tons of fun. This year was my first and it was a great experience. Authors that have published books come to this festival and participate in panels. They talk about their book and their writing experiences. On Saturday I visited the panel named "The Secrets That Girls Keep," the authors who participated in it were Jill Alexander, Rosemary Clement-Moore, and Jennifer Ziegler.

My experience with Latinitas has been incredible!

Every week, I look forward to seeing the bright and beautiful faces of my girls. No matter how my day is going or how stressed I feel, my girls always improve my day and put a smile on my face.
