Celebrate Peace and Nonviolence

Today we celebrate the International Day of Nonviolence held in honor of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday which

Gandhi is known for his non-violence approach to civil disobedience, or satyagraha, which led to India's independence from British rule.

Independence Day

I honestly have no idea what I will be doing for this year's Fourth of July. My family is pretty huge, but extremely unorganized. Everyone just asks everyone else if they've heard of any plans. Hot Topic: My Dad

The title for this could really be long, if I put all of my father's names. I call him Dad, Daddy, Papa, Pa, Man, Mr. Man, Señor, Dude, Padre, Señor Luis, and others that I probably don't even remember now. When I hear feminism....

I think of the millions of women fighting for the cause. I think of high heeled shoes standing ground on a decision. I think of ribbons and bows tied together for values.
