I Spy Beauty

I am a great believer in the power of true beauty. Ignore the media’s definition of “beauty” as being reserved for tall supermodels or having sleek hair, and think about the examples…

Growing Up

This is my first blog everybody and right now I just need to express my views of growing into an adult! As I'm getting older I'm starting to realize different things. I value my education more so than ever before. I feel like my life is speeding right by me and I can't even stop to look…

My Resolutions 2013

I'm not sure if there are words to describe how phenomenally crazy the year 2012 was for me. At least it feels like there aren't any. It was like my favorite song of the past school semester, "Rollercoaster of Love" performed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There were huge peaks in this rollercoaster where I almost flew out of my seat and lost all control. It was "no bueno" and you know what that leads too. Then, there was the adrenaline rush and the high hopes. Finally, there was…

Inactivity- What is your reaction?

"Oh but it is not my fault!"

I am not going to post a blog about life saving techniques, how to make your high school life easier, why I havent been on, more or less, whatever you can think.

But I am still writing, even though many might not read, how a few words can change a million peoples lives. Over-exaggeration, yes? Sarcasm.

I think I am different from many. Perhaps that 1% of…

Finding Work-Life Balance (for STUDENTS!)

It is interesting to see so many articles online talking about work-life balance for working adults. However, the more I feel pressure to do so many extracurricular activities, work, and study, it makes me wonder why we do not talk to teens about this skill.

It seems a student's day is never over. We wake up early in the morning to go to class, think critically for hours at a time, then after school, we begin our second shift. We do sports, clubs, and study. After all this, we're…

My College Bucket List

1) Learn what presidents are on the money bills.

2) Model a bra in my school's bra fashion show for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

3) Take care of Luna (my doggy) the best I can.

4) Don't ditch my school newspaper, University Star.

5) Keep on dreaming even if it breaks my heart.

6) Run across the sprinklers in the middle of the night, holding a loved one's hand.

7) Write letters, send photos, use my post office as…

The Great Escape

There's times when the world gets too noisy and then I wish I could float on a cloud and watch the world happen from above. Today is a cloudy day and there's puddles on the ground. Driving down roads, I love the breeze my lowered windows invite in. My thoughts are left for the wind to blow away, but there's always those souvenirs of memory that live too deep inside the cushions of my brain. I've never met a boy who invited me to take his hand on an adventure. There's times when I want to…

Live like you were dying by Tim McGraw

I love this song [Live like you were dying by Tim McGraw]. It a country song that always gets me thinking, and I wish sometimes "I could live like I was dying." The chorus of the song (just to give you a glimpse) goes like this:

"I went sky diving, I went rocky mountain climbing,

"I went two point seven seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu.

"And I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter,

"And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying."

An' he said: "Some day, I hope you get the… Continue
