Diary of a Tall Girl

For as long as I can remember, I have been taller than all of my peers. Just one of those days

I had today "one of those days." Its the day that everything seems to be going wrong and when you think it couldn't possibly get any worse... it does. It started off like any other day, but i woke up late. So then I didn't have time to eat breakfast, and I forgot my lunch (so I had to buy something to eat). Then I remembered I had to buy snacks for my English class so that put a dent in my time. Soon after I realize i had a heavy load in my backpack today, plus i was collecting bags for a… Continue

Celebrate Peace and Nonviolence

Today we celebrate the International Day of Nonviolence held in honor of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday which

Gandhi is known for his non-violence approach to civil disobedience, or satyagraha, which led to India's independence from British rule.

Although his form of protest was peaceful on his behalf, the government officials he opposed weren't. Gandhi and other Indians joining his cause were jailed, often beaten, abused, and/or flogged (whipped).

His peaceful protests gained… Continue
