Rant from a Sick Girl

"I love being sick!" - said NO ONE, EVER.

Well, it turns out I have laryngitis. My chest hurts from coughing, my throat is super dry and I sound like a prepubescent boy about to go through puberty -- that is, when you are able to hear my voice. I'm normally a quiet person, but I am not a mute. I didn't realize how much I actually talk... until now. My voice has been going through various stages of hoarseness since Monday. "Oh, Jasmine. You just need to calm down and…

:D

My co-workers are silly and I miss them already. Ahh, I finally closed the theater chapter of my life. I'll always support and love theater, but it's finally time to say adios to props. Onward to my new journey! After surviving the TA Comp Camp/first grad school course, I realized that grad school might be the best years of my…

Sleep

After enduring 12-14 hour rehearsals since Saturday, I am overtly excited for the show to finally open. Why am I excited? For the audience to finally see the final product? No, well, yes.. but I'm more excited to sleep. Yes. SLEEP. The other day I thought I fell asleep with my makeup, when in reality the "dark shadow" underneath my eyes were caused by the lack of sleep. Today was my day off and I was really anxious to get a lot of the YEAB stuff out of the way, well... that didn't go as…

Where did the time go?

My brother graduates from high school on Friday. Where did the time go? My parents have been blessed with three well-behaved, intelligent, sarcastic, and smart a** children. I say smart a** because the three of us ALWAYS find loop holes in every argument, which is terrible because it used to get us into even MORE trouble.  When I was 11 I wanted to paint my room red. Obviously, my mother wasn't jumping for joy. From her point of view saying no, because it was el color del…
