Diary of a High School Sweetheart

As you grow older, you realize there's certain people placed in your path that you will never forget. It doesn't matter if they've done something good or bad, they all came with a lesson. Who are you right now? A piece of history composed of memories? A piece of future composed of hope? Never stop believing the people of your past are praying out for you tonight to have a better tomorrow. So never give up on believing in someone you love. They need it, whether you know it or not because we don't talk every day and we don't know what life might be throwing at them, they need that extra strength we give them through our faith.

I'm not talking about religion though, all these feelings came from a boy I met in high school. I never forgot about him even throughout the distance and adventures of college. This morning I woke up amazed at myself for the feelings naturally born out of me that never allowed me to give up on him 365 days a year. 

Which leads me to my next point: I've always believed there is ONE person we all have to love and loose in life. They are insanely evil. But it's okay because it might just be the greatest life lesson ever learned. From this person you will learn what you do and don't want in a relationship. After the wound heals, you'll realize how much more you deserve and you'll be thankful everything happens for a reason. Before you know it, a second chance will come along to apply everything you've learned from your mistakes... problem to life solved.

SO, don't be afraid to love with all your heart. People will come and go along with the sun that sets and rises but memories and lessons will stay with you forever. Believe that humanity is still capable of never wanting to cause you any harm, yet sleep with one eye open. Do this with your brain AND your heart, they were both given to you for a reason. When you're old and gray, you'll be capable of replacing an "what if...," with a "remember when....."
