Being a scholar doesn't mean you have all the knowledge; what makes you a scholar is the process that takes you to that knowledge.
Being a scholar is someone who follows their passion, knowing that s/he is following their heart.
Being a scholar is someone who loves knowledge, but knows that knowledge doesn't make you wiser, the person who you need to be to acquire that knowledge is the factor that gives you wisdom.
Scholars are committed to excellence, to the love of leaving a legacy behind, whether it is on the sciences or on the art or literatures. Scholars know that by researching s/he are not going to become rich, but they take the challenge and the satisfaction on, to know that what they're doing is the right thing to do.
I discover all these last semester when I decided to dropped my International Business major to Latin American Studies, just because I fell in love with academia and all the points of view you can acquire from it. I was scare, nervous, insecure about my future, but some how I knew that I was doing the right thing for me, for my life and for my legacy. Although I know the process is not easy, I want to do it. Because I AM A SCHOLAR, and I can't go back to be normal...
