This month was the month of being grateful. People posted on Facebook what they were grateful for, and for some reason I didn't stop for a second and think about the thinks that I am grateful for, like family and friends, a roof and food for everyday.
Now, the day after thanksgiving I am grateful for having a great father. May be he wasn't the best, maybe he did many things wrong, maybe he did not took care of me or my brothers, but he was there and he loved me as much as he could. He gave a great education and always food to eat. He showed what it means to be responsible and honest.
We don't need a month to remember the good things in our lives, we need a second to breath in and out and be thankful for the fact we are living one more day. We certainly don't need a day to gather around and say "I love you", it takes a second to call, to hug.
Nothing wrong or against this celebration, maybe if we didn't have it this country would be chaotic. Love each and every second of your life, because we don't know when its going to be gone.
