Can anyone else relate to Linus?

In case you aren't familiar with Linus, he is a little boy from the Peanuts comics or the movies that come out during the holidays. Linus carries around a blanket to bring him a sense of security whenever he feels he is in an uncomfortable situation to make him feel better and calm him down. As a college student I also have a security blanket but it isn't something that I have to carry around with me or as noticeable as a blanket.

Whenever I feel uncomfortable or nervous I touch my ear. I know it seems like such a weird thing to do but it somehow calms me down. Many people may not notice it but it makes a huge difference to me. When I'm in class and I need to take a test I just take a minute to think about the question in front of me while touching my ear and all the nervousness and tension seems to go away.

Watching The Peanuts a few nights ago made me realize that we are all very similar to the characters. Whether one of us is the bossy one, the talented pianist that loves to talk about Beethoven, the pretty girl that is hopelessly in love, etc. we can see ourselves in one of those characters. If you think about it, who do you most relate to? And if for some reason you are a Linus type like myself, what's your security blanket?
