Did Halloween Pass While I Was Asleep???

I went to the mall on friday after work for some much needed shopping relief. Oh yes I know how stereotypical that is....a girl at the mall on a friday night talking about how therapeutic shopping is for her.... Well I haven't gone shopping in a looooOoOong time and I don't find it to be a stress-reliever, I was just happy to have a little extra cash to spend after weeks of tightening my spending.
Whatever that's not the point of this blog. My point is how at the mall on Friday, they were already setting up the Christmas tree and decorations!
I mean, SERIOUSLY!! It seems that every year, malls and stores in general are trying to get people into the holiday shopping spirit earlier and earlier.
I still haven't even shopped for my halloween costume and already X-mas is being shoved down my throat. Uh...hello, i haven't even stuffed my face with turkey, pecan pie, or stuffing, and already rudolph's red nose is sniffing at me!
I will admit, I HATE CHRISTMAS. I hate holidays in general. However, I find it irritating that now it's being advertised and pushed on everyone, even the lovers of Christmas, as early as 2 wks before Halloween.
What's next??
Christmas decorations for sale for Valentine's Day???? There's already such a thing as Christmas in July, which is really just a marketing device and is supposed to have Christmas-like sales prices without the fat man in the red suit or the tinsel.
What gives? Why are stores telling us when to start gearing up for the holiday season? It may not be today, but this weekend we had 70-degree weather, I refuse to start thinking about the cold weather months now.
and I'll say it again, kids: I HATE X-MAS!!!! Sorry to break hearts, but I just do.
