Ahhh! Escaramuza....

I first joined Escaramuza in August of 2010 i didnt ike it at all, but i joined because i know my dad would of been proud of me if i followed my cultures footsteps, well... actually my family's footsteps.

My mom was an escaramuza once and my dads sister (my aunt) was an escaramuza too, then my little sister joined the escaramuza first than me and she Loved it, well, she Loves It. So... know I think it's my turn to join. I Love riding horses, its super fun and relaxing its like therapy because it calms you down, but... with escaramuza its like a crazy dance, with amazing stunts and rutines, its an unbelivabe sport.

I like Escaramuza now, well actually... I Love Escaramuza now because I spend time with my sister and my mom, but I sure wish my dad was here. Even though my dad is not here a have his presence, i know he is always with me looking after my sister, my mom and me when we are on the horse riding or practicing I know he is taking care of us no matter what.

Escaramuza has been a great sport for me and a big accomplishment, I never thought I could do what ived been doing right now and be so proud of what God has given me in this huge opportunity in this sport. Its just not to show what your good at but what your capable of "We Can Do It" and I Just dont think of it like that because "I Ride From The Heart" that an escaramuza quote and its true its just not to show what we are capable of and what women in mexico culture could do but We ride from the heart because we want to not because we want to impress people but also to show our culture and what our culture is.

So...What can I not say about Escaramusa.

Well, Escaramuza is a wonderful sport in Mexico and it's all full of wonderful stunts and rutines. Escaramusa is a sport were young women and young girls ride their horse as a quick speed. Its not easy. Escaramuza are called Adelitas that a Mexico word for the guerreras de Mexico they are called that by their dressing becuase of their big dresses and beautiful technic on the dress and thair is a other escaramuza calles china poblanas its a more tighter and beautiful dress. Anyways, escaramuza is a fast sport and really dangerouse too, it consist of velosity, tecnics and alot of movement and exersice and i cant forget the horse needs alot of experience for this sport too. Like for example, it needs to do 180 degree turn in one foot, and a 90 degree turn in one foot and it ned to learn how to do and "L" without doing a curve , but wait, while doung those thricks and thecnics the horse can NOT stop at any time, it has to keep going becasuse if you stop their can be an accident cause your going at a full speed and either you partener can crash with you or you can crash with another team mate. It's not easy.

The escaramuzas do rutines like Jiros (spins), coliaderas (when their is a circle in the middle with four girls and four girls on the out side and they have to pass through the circle), la flor (the girls seperate from either a line and make a flower), escuadras (each girl/girls has to be paralle from eachother), la escalera  (6 girls make a line with a parner and two other girls have to pass between the open space in full speed), el cruce (4 girls make a square fast and 4 other girls go in the square make another quick square and catch up fast with their team mate), and el avanico (the fan). All theese thing are super fast, and need a lot a lot of practice.
