So at the office, the interns and I, especially the avid blogger Araceli, talk about mylatinitas and blogging. We have 2 guy interns at our office that often feel left out since mylatinitas is GIRLS ONLY!!! And we would like to keep it that way but we would also like to give them the opportunity to blog, since we're all about equal rights right?? hehe.
Eric is our very funny and creative graphic design intern. He decided to write about a girl's true beauty, so here it is...oh and make sure to comment, I'm sure he'll appreciate the attention. :)
Today as I walked it to the office I noticed that Karen, an intern, looked different so I asked her. “You look different…why?” She looked at me as if I was crazy and said “I don’t have makeup around my eyes.” I smiled and replied “you look nice.” She smiled back and said “Thank you”
As the day went on Sonia told the other girls the story and began to laugh about it, we all did. I really couldn’t say anything about it just “I like a girl with no or little makeup. I like a girl’s true beauty. ‘Sweat pants, hair tied, chillin with no make up on’ like Drake says in his song” and we all laugh again as Amanda, another intern began to sing.
I have always thought a girl’s natural beauty is true beauty. I never really liked a girl with eyeliner, lip gross, and the works. It is not my thing, instead give me a girl with her hair tied back or up. I would rather get to know a girl from the inside out then just what I see. I like a girl that always has something on her mind and has something to say. I like a girl that is not only beautiful but is as smart as she is beautiful.
For me, the cover girl of a magazine just does not cut it and no girl should ever want to look like a cover girl. I’m not saying makeup is bad or anything, I’m just saying a girl shouldn’t use as much make up as some girls do.
