Holiday movies to check out this month:
Arthur Christmas (PG, 1 hr. 37 min.)—Another great 3-D film is on the big screen. This animated family comedy centers Santa’s high-tech operation hidden in the North Pole and his frenzied deliveries. This film is filled with laughter and unexpected surprises, it’s a great movie to share laughs with the entire family.
Hugo (PG, 2 hr. 6 min.)—Director, Martin Scorsese makes his first 3-D film based on the Brian Selznick’s New York’s best-seller. The movies follows the adventurous journey of a boy named Hugo Cabret, who is trying to unlock a secret left by his father, all which leads to transformation and wisdom, this film is one you shouldn’t miss!
Happy Feet Two (PG, 1 hr. 39 min)—The Happy Feet sequel is now in theaters in 3-D animation. The film centers Erik, the son of “the master of tap” who gets overwhelmed with pressure to follow in his father’s footsteps he runs away and meets lively characters along the way. The movie has great twists, shows the strength in family and friendship, all taking place in the homeland of Antarctica.
The Muppets (PG, 1 hr. 42 min.) The notorious Muppets has hit the big screen this season. Their adventure follows a Muppet enthusiast and his friends who arrive to Los Angeles for vacation. The gang finds themselves trying to rescue the run-down Muppet Theater and the Muppet crew are soon reunited and join in on the cause. If you are looking for a film filled with dance, music, and action, this is the movie for you.
The Adventures of Tintin (PG, 1 hr. 40 min.) This 3-D film directed by Steven Speilberg stars Jamie Bell, as Tintin, who is a story-driven, passionate reporter whose undergoes high-end adventures in this animated action movie, it is a must see with the family.
