LatinitasMagazine.org - A Strong Voice for Latina Youth

I honestly have no idea what I will be doing for this year's Fourth of July. My family is pretty huge, but extremely unorganized. Everyone just asks everyone else if they've heard of any plans. No one has, and so we wait. Thinking like most procrastinators that we have all the time in the world to plan everything. We do this for every Memorial Day, every birthday, every Easter. To our credit though, it usually works out pretty well. Emails are sent and phone calls are made to organize the place, the time, and most importantly, the food!

We usually end up somebody's house and eat and talk. Sometimes a board game will make an appearance. Let me just say that these are dangerous times since we all take the rules of Pictionary pretty seriously. There have been shouting matches in the past, but everyone leaves unharmed. What can I say? It brings us together.

After, the food and games, as the sun begins to set on another day, we make our way out to the outskirts of town to fire our amateur fire works. The guys are usually the enforcing factor of this decision, since I would most like to see the professional fireworks display done at the local baseball stadium. However, whatever we do, as long as we're all together, I don't really mind the chaos.
