It's April!!

I woke up in a very happy mood today. I do not know why but I felt refreshed and ready to start the day. I am also excited since it's the start of a brand new month and a month that I get to be with my family for their birthdays. I haven't been home in a few years during the month of April when my mom and dad celebrate their bdays so I'm happy that I will this year and I am excited to spend time with them. My brother's birthday is in the beginning of May so I'll get to spend it with him as well.

I was also reading a book last night that is really interesting. I knew it was late and that I had to go to bed but I couldn't stop reading and had to force myself to stop when I finished the chapter. But I think that I went to bed in a good mood and a bit inspired.

Last night, I also went to an art market with my friend. It was pretty cool since we got to see local artists exhibiting and selling their work. We looked at the paintings and photographs trying to interpret their meaning and then we got to meet the artists that got to explain the actual meaning and thoughts about their work. I ran into a few friends and she did as well, and we got to mingle and meet more people!

We also bought some very cute earrings from a lady that crafts them herself and got some dangling red earrings for my mom. My friend got a pair of black rose dangling earrings. They were also very cheap, only 3 dollars! I will definitely go back for more next month at the art market.

I have been thinking lately about re-doing my room and maybe getting some local paintings/photography. I know I already want some of my friend's pictures from her photography exhibit that she had last week. It's good to change things up a bit and though I love all the posters and pictures in my room, I think I could try something different. I have a lot of Klimt and Van Gogh currently and sunsets! I like to photograph sunsets in the different cities that I visit. It's really the most beautiful part of the day for me. My room is painted blue. The celing is a dark blue with glitter that is supposed to resemble the night sky since I love astronomy.. It was my idea to have my room like that and my family and I all painted it together last summer.

So going to art markets and galleries kinda gives me inspiration to see how I will redo my room. Of course my blue room is staying along with the night sky. :)
