Living in a Virtual World: Social Networking

Social Networking has become very important in today’s world. I went to this seminar in where they were showing people how to use face book, twitter and myspace. It was so funny to see how older people are getting into it. It’s a great way to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. This social media phenomenon is fun and I personally started when I was a junior in high school. Today I went online and did my research on the TOP 10 Social Networks for 2009 and 2010 and this years ranking looks the same than last year.

I’ll go from 10 to 1 because I am pretty sure you all know the first Social Networks.

Facebook where can I begin? At first I didn’t like it. I was used to myspace and myspace stalking (I know my ins and outs even if people have their settings on private) and it seemed to plain for me. Myspace started to get to me though so what to do? I was in college with all my friends using face book. Well I got one and started to check it out daily. All of the sudden I was checking it every couple of hours. Have you seen those applications for mafia wars, sorority life or Farmville? Well I got a farm and let me tell you…its addictive! For next time I’ll talk to you about my farm and how to play and the improvements you can make.
