The Día de las Madres essay contest is focused on inspiring Hispanic girls ages 13-18 to write essays commending their mothers for their love and capturing the inspiration their mothers give their families all year long. The top winner will receive a salon package for her mother and top submissions will be featured in LatinitasMagazine.com.
Poetry and short-essay submissions are being accepted for the Latinitas Día de las Madres Writing Contest. The contest is open to Hispanic girls ages 13-18 in El Paso, Texas and the surrounding region. All submissions must be received by: May 2
Poetry and Short-Essay submissions can be in response to the following statements:
My Mother/Motherly figure is special to me because…
All submissions must be original. Latinitas reserves the right to publish submissions. Please make sure you retain copies of submissions for your records, as Latinitas will not be returning submissions.
Poetry submissions must be no longer than 150 words. The topic of poems and short-essays should be either about your mother or the motherly figure in your life. Short-Essay submissions must be between 300-600 words.
