Moving home
It has been a little over a couple weeks since I left El Paso and moved to El Centro, California. Mind you it has been about 8 years since I've lived in California and about 17 since I lived in El Centro. Regardless, coming "home" has been a whirlwind of emotions.
Not only do I live a few blocks away from family, but with my parents working I am stuck unpacking our 2-story home. And did I mention it is over 115 degrees and we barely got our cable installed (we are still patiently waiting for our phone and Internet).
I bet your summer is looking pretty great right now, huh?
I guess I assumed moving to a city where I recognized would be a lot easier than I thought. Or maybe I just need some time to adjust.

I completely agree with you. It is such a weird/strange feeling. You've been away for so long and now that you are home it doesn't really feel like home. You know?

Karen, sometimes I feel like that when I come back home during the summer. I'm in my own house with all my family, but it just feels different. I think you'll adjust in no time. It's just different after being gone for so long.
