Overwhelmed
Tweens, Pre-teens and Teens, to me it seems like girls are anxious to advance from the stages. I wish that girls would take the time to grow up. What I want to know is what is the rush? As I look back on my life I want to know where did it go? I feel like Quinceanera was so long ago, now I am about to graduate and I have a three year old daughter. Where is my life going? Everything moves so fast, life is but a flashing light! When I talk to my girls from Armijo club, I feel overwhelmed by the hurry they have for growing up. Talks about boys, kissing and cliques invade the room, when I wish they would talk about school, dreams, and the future. They want to outgrow life. Here is a poem to all of you who are still "Growing up".

and lullabies are sung.

years,
as long as the nightlight was there
to quiet our fears.

have to be so hard?
When did the world become
bigger than our own back yard?
There is no more recess
to stop the stress of the all occasions"">school day.
There are no more falling stars
that can take our worries away.
Decisions are more complicated
now that we are grown,
why cant we go back

Take life one step at a time, there is no hurry.

i know kids are sooo rushed to grow up but once you pass those growing years, you sit back and wonder like yourself, where did all the time go. Then you realize that there was really no rush and that being an adult isnt all that good. You have to pay bills and be accountable!!! :( i mean you never stop growing but yes i agree i dont see the rush to grow up. EVERYONE reading this take your time to grow u dont wanna look back and wish you did more or took more time just being a kid.
