Pocketful of Chocolate

Latinitas Fashion Forward camp is well underway and is proving to be yet again, a total success. On Monday, guest speaker, Lisa Siva, model and assistant editor at TRIBEZA, talked to the girls about what the fashion world is like from a model and editors point of view. It was quite refreshing to see such an articulate and eloquent young woman come talk to our girls about the real, unscripted, zero photo-shopped version of the fashion industry. She was quite encouraging to our girls, stressing the importance of higher education and instilling confidence in each and every one of them. She reminded the girls to always know their limits and to remember that they are not just an image or a body but also a “mind and a heart.” She was quite wonderful, to say the least. 

In a world where many young models struggle with weight, eating disorders and their body image, Lisa confessed she absolutely loved food. As a self declared foodie, she writes articles about local Austin cuisine and has her very own food blog.
