Saturday's Workshop
So today Stephanie and I presented at the Career Day 2010 at UTEP for the Mother Daughter/ Father son Program. It turned out great we had a lot of fun with kids creating personal Zines. It was a different experience because the kids were middle school aged and our class was filled with both middle school girls and boys. We had a blast though. Alot of the girls were interested in Latinitas and seems like they will be joining us soon, either online or at some clubs, the teen leadership institue or sat camps. Exploring careers in the media field opened their eyes that if being an editor, writer, photographer, videographer, or reporter can be fun and serve as a good job at the same time. Overall, the kids were great and the sessions seemed to keep everyones attention. It was just another good saturday workshop.
