Yes, time flies... holiday season is around the corner and what celebration could be a better beginning for it than Thanksgiving Day. I love Thanksgiving Day, not only because of the delicious dinner, or the excitment of getting the family reunited, but because I think gratitude is one of the most important feelings you may experience. When you are grateful for the things you have or the situation you are living, you experience peace. Inner peace is priceless, you need inner peace in order to get and/or make the most of everything in your life. When you feel good about yourself and others around you no matter in what situation you may find yourself in, you do well. Thanksgiving Day is an opportunity for us to thank for all we have. In our hectic lives, it is a friendly reminder for us to be grateful and appreciate the ones around us. Eventhough I personally think we should be garteful everyday in our lives, I know that we tend to forget somehow, that's why Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful opportunity to show gratitude to other people, to God, to the circumstances, to yourself, to the world, or to whomever you want to thank to. I do sometimes tell to myself this phrase "I am happy and grateful for..." and repeat this phrase to myself ending with different things I appreciate having in my life, even the bad experiences, because there is a learning process involved in those ones. It is a really good way to start your day, it will make your day better. I believe we should develop gratitude as an everyday practice, but hey! don't worry, just in case we forget to thank for the good and bad things in our lives everyday, there will be always Thanksgiving Day! :)
