To answer the question as to whether traditional or online schooling is better, I believe that traditional schooling is better. Although online schooling may seem more convenient and less time consuming, there are important aspects of traditional schooling that are beneficial to students. With traditional schooling, we are face to face with the work. We do not have time to put it aside. We must face it right there. If a student has a problem, they can talk to the teacher about it and receive additional help after school or whenever necessary. Students are able to hear clear explanations from a teacher and work on examples.
Traditional schooling also provides a student with a sense of punctuality and determination. Teachers give students deadlines and guidelines that they must follow. The student has to make sure that their work is completed before or at the given deadline. Also, since traditional schooling is typically in the morning, students become accustomed to waking up at early hours of the day. This will prepare them for the future when they have to wake up early for work. Traditional schooling could be considered as basic training for the work force. We sit through 6 or more hours in school. When we are older, we’ll have to endure 6 or more hours of work. All in all, I personally believe that traditional schooling is better and more efficient than online schooling.
